Personalised care
We get to know the person, not just the diagnosis.
Here's Margaret's profile — the kind we build with every family before their first club day.
A life story before day one
We sit down with every new member and their family to build their life story — where they grew up, the work they did, the people they love, the music, hobbies and little habits that make them who they are.
The Rainbow Academy
All of our staff are regularly trained in the Rainbow Academy, our own training programme, where they learn to use these life stories to deliver the very best dementia care — and truly understand the person in front of them.
Days tailored around them
It shapes everything we do — the activities we plan, the conversations we start, the food we serve and the way we make sure everyone feels genuinely welcome the moment they walk in.
Shared with your own login
Every profile is shared with the family through your own secure login, so you can see the profile, the day's moments and everything we're doing — whenever you like.

Member since AprilAbout Margaret
Margaret is 82 and spent 34 years as a primary school teacher in Altrincham — she'll still correct your grammar with a twinkle. Her family are her whole world: daughter Judith, son Michael and four grandchildren whose photos she shows absolutely everybody.
She bakes a Victoria sponge people still talk about — and once you get her onto the subject, you won't get away. She's a little hard of hearing, so we take our time with her, sit beside her with a cup of tea, and she'll talk for England.

A day at Rainbow · 10am – 4pm
A day in the life.
10:00AM
A warm welcome
Every member is greeted by name. Tea or coffee, time to settle in and catch up with familiar faces. We take our lead from how everyone is feeling that day.

10:30AM
Morning activities
We begin with the Daily Sparkle, a reminiscence and conversation based session. That's followed by activities tailored to those in the room, such as music, crafts, games, newspapers, movement, gardening and much more.

12:30PM
Chef-prepared lunch
A proper, freshly cooked meal prepared by the on-site chefs. Classic home cooked food, made with care, with choice and variety every club day.

2:00PM
Afternoon sessions
Baking, gardening, table games, gentle exercise, outdoor walks, foot darts, ping-pong, a trip to the farm — or a range of quieter activities.

4:00PM
Home time
Refreshments as we wind down, then a proper send-off — we share how the day went with families and make sure everyone leaves happy, ready to come back next time.

Every club day, 10am – 4pm.
Family feedback
What families tell us.
"It doesn't feel like a care service. It feels like Dad is visiting friends at a beautiful country house. The difference is remarkable."
David R. · Son
Statham Lodge
"I was so nervous about leaving my husband. The team made both of us feel completely at ease. He comes home happy and I get time to breathe."
Margaret W. · Wife
The Tytherington
"From the moment we walked in, we knew this was different. Mum smiles when we tell her it's an Egerton Hall day. That means everything to us."
Sarah T. · Daughter

The people behind it
Meet Brad & James.

Brad, Claire and James
Following our mum's, Claire's, diagnosis of early-onset dementia, we experienced first-hand the challenge many families face: finding somewhere we would feel genuinely comfortable taking our own mum. We wanted somewhere warm, welcoming and engaging. Somewhere Mum would feel valued, supported and able to enjoy meaningful social connections. But we struggled to find the kind of experience we were looking for locally.
That's why we partnered with The Rainbow Care Group, one of the UK's most recognised and award-winning dementia day care providers, to bring its proven model of specialist dementia support to beautiful venues across Cheshire. Today, families across South Manchester and Cheshire can access the same high standard of care, companionship and support that we would want for our own mum. That commitment sits behind every decision we make and drives the quality of the experience we provide.
